SANTO DOMINGO, Dominican Republic — The Dominican government has disbursed more than 104 million pesos to 39 small agricultural producers across the country, settling outstanding debts accumulated over several years. The National Treasury announced the payments, which address long-standing financial commitments from the Price Stabilization Institute (Inespre).

National Treasurer Luis Rafael Delgado Sánchez confirmed the total payout of RD$104,279,090. He stated that President Luis Abinader Corona directly instructed the treasury to honor these financial obligations, underscoring the administration's commitment to transparency and compliance.

Delgado Sánchez told the assembled producers that the state had carried these debts for years. "As soon as President Luis Abinader Corona instructed me to proceed with the debt's liquidation, we completed it in record time," he said, moments before checks were distributed to the beneficiaries.

Among the agricultural businesses and individuals who received payments were Prado del Campo SRL, Ramón Beato Castaño, M&CRD SRL, Mario José Imbert, Fernando Garrido CxA, Franklin Ramírez de los Santos, José Manuel de la Rosa Reyes, Productora Agropecuaria Me, Félix María Florentino, Eladio Serafín Coronado, Ricardo Almanzar Pérez, and Ramón Emilio Serrata.

The beneficiaries cultivate a variety of crops and livestock, including beans, chickens, garlic, pigs, rice, plantains, eggs, and bananas, according to the institution.

Highlighting the importance of the agricultural sector, Delgado Sánchez added, "We understand the vital role you play in the economies of your provinces and for Dominican consumers. Conscious of this, we have made every effort to ensure you receive your payments promptly, allowing you to meet your commitments to your suppliers and employees."

Following the payments, the producers expressed their gratitude to President Abinader and Treasurer Delgado Sánchez for their swift response in resolving the long-pending debts.
